K-Beauty and CBD are both taking the world by a storm. Korean skincare products have been giving Korean women glowing, luminous skin for years, and now the rest of the world is learning about them. Google K-Beauty, and you'll quickly learn why they're so popular.
Recent research is also finding the many benefits of CBD oil to skin health. Google CBD and skin benefits, and you’ll find research from around the world pointing to CBD’s benefits. What if we combined the two? We did, and that's how Jinjoo Labs was born.
The Jinjoo team embarked on the painstaking process of finding a manufacturing partner and decided to team up with KPT, winner of the Beiersdorf Innovation Award and the "most prestigious technology award" in Korea. Jinjoo is anti-aging, anti-inflammatory skincare featuring K-Beauty technology that delivers the perfect amount of CBD for maximum benefit.
With KPT’s patented "pearl" delivery mechanism, Jinjoo delivers the precise amount of CBD needed. No guesswork. With global exclusivity for delivering the perfect amount of CBD, our founder, Rene Shin, put together a team – mostly women – to form Jinjoo Labs.
Jinjoo marries KPT's patented pearl delivery mechanism to ensure the perfect dose of CBD and K-Beauty skincare ingredients. Our own testing with KPT as well as with the Miami Skin Care Institute is showing us that JinJoo can help provide relief for common skincare issues like eczema, rosacea, acne, and psoriasis - all the while helping slow skin aging. Jinjoo is effective for minimizing trouble spots, like fine lines, dark spots, under-eye circles, and general sun damage.
Rene Shin is a mom, an entrepreneur, and she’s studying to become an endodontist surgeon at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine.
A lifelong user of Korean skincare products, her interest in what made them work began during her medical studies. What she learned is that Korean skincare products are free of harsh ingredients. The concept of Korean beauty after all is about healthy-looking skin that glows from within. What if you could create skincare based on the same principles and added CBD’s benefits? Rene embarked on the painstaking process of finding a manufacturing partner. She studied and interviewed some of the world’s renowned manufacturers before deciding on KPT.
Rene holds an engineering degree from the University of Toronto and attended the MBA program from the prestigious Seoul National University. After immigrating to the United States, she attended Columbia University to complete her post-baccalaureate degree with honors. She was then selected to continue her education at Columbia Dental School where she graduated in 2020.
